To respect privacy and image rights, we never publish the reference photos behind a project. Everything you see here is our own work: 3D models and factory photos of the finished heads, with only cropping and a blurred background.
How a custom head is made, step by step
Every head in this post went through the same six steps. Here is what happens at each stage and how long it usually takes.
Step 1 · Consultation and references
It starts with your references: clear, high-resolution photos of the face from the front, left, right and back. If you’re not sure your photos are good enough, you can book a free consultation first and we’ll tell you what works and what’s missing.
- You can upload photos on the product page, or order first and upload after checkout through a private link.
- Files are stored encrypted, seen only by the project team, and deleted 30 days after delivery.
- The person in the references must be 18+ and have agreed to the project. We don’t accept celebrities or public figures.
Step 2 · 3D sculpting (15–30 days)
Our modelling team sculpts the face digitally: skull shape, brow ridge, eye spacing, nose, lips, jaw and ears. We send you renders from several angles, like the sculpts in the cases below.
You can ask for changes — a softer jaw, fuller lips, a different nose bridge — and up to 3 rounds of revisions are included. Nothing goes to the mold until you approve the model.
Step 3 · Mold making (about 15 days)
The approved model is turned into a dedicated mold. Because the mold is made for your design only, every detail you signed off in 3D carries through to the cast head.
Step 4 · Casting (TPE 3–5 days · silicone 7–15 days)
The head is cast in your chosen material and skin tone. TPE is softer and more affordable; platinum silicone holds finer detail such as pores and fine lines, and takes longer to cure.
Step 5 · Face-up and finishing
This is where the face comes to life. Our artists hand-paint the brows, eyeliner, lashes, blush and lips, fit the eyes in the color you chose and add any options you ordered — for example implanted eyebrows and eyelashes, hand-implanted hair, or a wig. Compare the plain grey sculpts with the finished heads below: this step makes the biggest visual difference.
Step 6 · Packing and shipping
The finished head is packed in a plain, unmarked carton and shipped internationally — shipping is included in the price.

Case 1 · AB34 — custom TPE head
A soft oval face with full lips and a defined nose. The face-up pairs a smoky eye with green eyes and a glossy nude lip. Compare the sculpt and the finished head: the proportions approved in 3D carry straight through to the cast.

Case 2 · AB28 — custom TPE head
A sharper look: high brows, winged eyeliner and blue eyes. The last photo shows how much a wig changes the character of the same face — something you can decide after the head is made.
Case 3 · AB29 — custom silicone head
Silicone captures finer detail, which shows in the skin texture, the natural brows and the small beauty mark kept from the design. This face is now available in our silicone line as Brooke (AB29).

Are these real factory photos?
Yes. The finished heads were photographed in our studio during face-up, without retouching beyond cropping and background blur.
Why don’t you show the reference photos?
Reference photos belong to the people who supplied them, so we keep them private. Your own references are stored encrypted and deleted 30 days after delivery.
Can I choose TPE or silicone for my custom head?
Yes. TPE is softer and more affordable; silicone holds finer detail, lasts longer and supports options such as hand-implanted hair and movable eyelids.
